The LG G3 only supports USB tethering with a SIM card, that’s why it was greyed out.
I have read that the iPhone is the same only allowing your sims data connection over usb.
the Pixel 3A had no sim but still offered the wifi connection. the setup was as simple as shown in the video. it just works 🙂
effectively the Pixel 3A can be used as a Wifi adapter for Windows and possibly other devices.
this is useful as Windows 10 on the Pi doesn’t have Wifi support at this stage.
