How to Access your Raspberry Pi from outside your local network
What is Raspberry Pi Connect and Why would you use Raspberry Pi Connect?
Raspberry Pi Connect provides basically the same functionality as VNC and SSH but you can connect from anywhere with an internet connection. VNC and SSH require you to be on the same network, or use tunneling or port forwarding.
Reasons to use Raspberry Pi Connect
Connect from anywhere with an open internet connection. You don’t need to be on the same local network as you do with SSH or VNC Viewer.
If you enjoy VNC viewer, but you don’t like looking up your IP address or you don’t want to download another app on your desktop computer, Raspberry Pi connect is for you.
Reasons to use VNC Viewer instead of Raspberry Pi Connect
Using Raspberry Pi Connect requires creating an account on Raspberry Pi and validating your email address. If you don’t want to create yet another account with a login and password, then Raspberry Pi Connect might not be for you.
